We are a small kennel, founded in the 1980's with an interest in all aspects of the breed including showing, working and breeding.

Of paramount importance to us is the Health and Welfare of the Breed. We have been and continue to be, actively involved in health screening and research projects to try to reduce Genetic problems. As a result all at Darkpeak are hip scored, heart tested including a colour flow echo doppler.

Darkpeak Newfoundlands are all worked in the water or in a cart and we are keen to preserve the Breeds Working instincts.

Our keen interest in showing has been with some success we have recently made up our 1st Champion and have other Challenge Certificate and Junior Warrant winners.

We breed the occasional litter with the purpose of keeping something for us to show and have a particular interest in producing 'browns'. All our puppies are born and reared in the house to try and ensure early socialisation.
